About The Boston Unit of Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic
Established in 1985, the Boston Unit operates an eight-booth recording studio in Cambridge, MA. Three hundred volunteers read, produce, and distribute audio textbooks so that students with print disabilities in Massachusetts and elsewhere in New England and across the country can have access to education.
The Boston Unit also provides training to educators and nearly 11,000 students attending nearly 650 educational facilities throughout MA to optimally incorporate audio textbooks in their special educational curricula.
