Since 1992, the Homeless Empowerment Project has been helping people get on their feet by gaining income, self-esteem and a variety of skills including sales, expressive arts, leadership and organizational management. While providing these opportunities, we encourage all that participate in our program to become involved in the governance of our community-led organization. It is our belief that people who are experiencing homelessness, when provided with encouragement and accessible opportunities for self-advancement, have the ability to create lasting and positive change for ourselves and others.
