Think of patient care as a circle. One part of the circle is research. One part of the circle is treatment. And one part of the circle is…wide open. Actually, it’s more like a void. Beckstrand fills that void and completes the circle of care by giving patients the financial assistance they need for everyday bills while they go through chemotherapy and radiation. We’re a nonprofit organization bringing help and hope to people with cancer. We pay the bills to lighten the load and reduce stress. That way, patients concentrate on getting better – and that’s it. Eighty percent (80%) of all donations go directly to patients in need. The rest keeps our doors open. That’s really good news if you’re a donor, and even better news if you’re in treatment. We all know someone who has had cancer – a friend, a family member, a co-worker. Or maybe it’s you. Every year there are more than 1.5 million new cases of cancer diagnosed and there are very few resources available to help. Beckstrand has been helping since 1974. During that time, we’ve assisted more than 10,530 patients and put to work over $12 million in support. Chances are, we’ve helped someone you know. Still, there’s more work to be done and we all have a responsibility to do what we can. Cancer does not discriminate. Until there is a cure, there will always be a need for Beckstrand. When you make a donation, your help gives hope to someone with cancer. And we all know someone impacted by cancer.
