Our personal message:

Hi,

My name is Nicholas and I'm running to help raise money and awareness about children in countries like Senegal. Senegal is located on the west side of the continent of Africa. My church does a lot to help the people there who have so little. We help by building wells for clean water. We help by building schools and getting supplies for the students. It is so powerful to me that some children have never gone to school. I'm running to change that.

I really want to help children have schools near their villages. I got the idea of a half marathon because that's how far some kids need to walk to get to school. On January 27, 2008 I will run 13 miles in the Vancouver Lake Half Marathon.

If you donate money through this web site, it can help build schools that are closer, provide clean water which will significantly reduce infant mortality and provide relief in many other ways.

Both of my parents have been to Senegal and have seen how this money helps the people there.

Thanks for the donations and wish me luck.
