To adaptively reuse historic ships to provide education, mentoring, job readiness and job training activities for at-risk, disadvantaged youth; to preserve the Philadelphia region's maritime tradition through active sailing of and educational activities utilizing the tall ship Gazela and tugboat Jupiter; to serve as a regional economic and cultural ambassador for the Philadelphia metropolitan area through the promotion of events, festivals and port-of-call sailing; to foster volunteerism and the stewardship of a significant civic cultural resource.
