About Humane Society of Citrus County Florida, Inc.

It is our mission to see that there are no more homeless, abused pets in Citrus County, Florida. We try to educate the public to the importance of spay/neuter as the alternative to the 7000-8000 euthanized pets each year at the local shelter. We adopt all breeds and ages from the local shelter, meeting their medical needs which are sometimes extensive, and teach them to trust again. We adopt out only to approved homes because we want to be sure the pet is in a forever home and will never again find itself in the condition we found it.
