Have you heard about the Heroes Now & Forever campaign?

The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe has launched its Heroes Now and Forever Campaign to raise the final $1 million dollars needed to build a new animal shelter.

We have had tremendous success to date raising $2.3 million dollars for needed building funds, and we are well on our way and almost there! However, there is a shortfall. We have an urgent, pressing need to raise another $1 million dollars this year.

How can you help? (Thanks for asking!!)

We are asking for a $1,000 donation from 1000 wonderful indivduals, businesses or groups! We've setup this First Giving fundraising site to make it extremely easy for you to start your own fundraising campaign as an individual or a group (ex: Work team, Sport group, Girl Scout Troop, any group is welcome)  and join our HeroesTeam!

How do I get started?

1. Click on the "FUNDRAISE" button in the upper right hand corner of this page

2. Follow the steps to create a First Giving account - completely FREE!

3. Personalize your fundraising page by adding your own text and pictures, tell your friends and family WHY you want to help the HSTT and how important this cause is to you!

4. SHARE your fundraising page - it's so easy, you can share to facebook, email directly to friends and family.

How to raise $1000 in 10 days

DAY 1 Get the ball rolling and sponsor yourself with the first $50
DAY 2 Ask five of your family members to sponsor you for $50 each
DAY 3 Ask twenty friends to sponsor you for $25 each
DAY 4 Ask ten of your colleagues to contribute $20 each
