Founded in 1981, The Urban Ministries' mission is to identify and alleviate the effects of poverty by providing an organized structure for the reallocation of resources. The organization's goals are to: Provide basic necessities to people in need; provide services that promote self-sufficiency; build awareness of issues surrounding poverty; be aware of and leverage resources to maximize our impact in the community; and provide a challenging, rewarding and supportive environment for volunteers and staff.
