The Oklahoma Art Education Association is provided for art educators in the state of Oklahoma through which they can 1) achieve more advantages for art students 2) gain professional training 3) build networking and support with other art professionals.

OAEA has created three programs which acknowledge excellence in artwork. Young Talent in Oklahoma is the premier juried exhibition open to high school art teachers and awards scholarships. Junior Young Talent is a new project singling out the junior high art students in a show of their work. Youth Art Month is part of national awareness and Oklahoma art teachers support this across the state and spotlight the artwork of elementary stude! nts in an exhibit.
