**Save Barnegat Bay is the Ocean County Chapter of Izaak Walton League of America**
SAVE BARNEGAT BAY is the leading not-for-profit environmental group working to conserve undeveloped natural land and clean water throughout the Barnegat Bay watershed.
The Friends of The Save Barnegat Bay 8K, Inc., is excited to announce our 4th Annual Running Race & Fitness Walk to be held in Lavallette, 8:30AM on Saturday, June 27th.
Participants will follow a course which weaves its way through the town of Lavallette and along the shores of picturesque Barnegat Bay. We are excited about the opportunity the event presents, not only for the charities involved, but also for the local business community and the Township of Lavallette.
This event helps to promote the work being done by Save Barnegat Bay, as well as support the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation and the Lavallette Emergency Services.
Volunteer Check in: 6:00am
Race Day Registration: Begins at 7AM
Event location: Baltimore Ave. & Washington Ave.
Award Ceremony: 10:15am front of the Lavallette Fire Dept
Post race party sponsored by the Crabs Claw Inn immediatly following the Awards Ceremony

Registration for the sbb8k opened on March 1, 2009. You can enter either by mail (download form) or online at Active.com. Please note that on-line registration will end June 26th at 3PM.
