About Children's Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation
Description: CNCF is a national organization dedicated to raising funds for pediatric cancer research, especially neuroblastoma, education and awareness about childhood cancer.
Mission: Our mission is to assist in finding a cure for neuroblastoma cancer and other solid tumor cancers in children. We provide educational information to the parents and heighten awareness in the communities about childhood cancer.Our research funding will be provided to investigators at hospitals and institutions across the United States specializing in pediatric cancer. Our Medical Advisory Board will review grant applications submitted by researchers for basic science research, translational studies and clinical application. The Medical Advisory Board includes: Dr. C. Patrick Reynolds, Children's Hospital Los Angeles; Dr. Stephan Grupp, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia; Dr. John Maris, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Dr. Susan Cohn, Consultant, Children's Memorial Hospital, Chicago.We provide a forum for patients and family members of children afflicted with such cancers for the sharing of information concerning medical treatment, palliative care, hospice services, bereavement groups and emotional support.
