MS Run the US, Inc. Mission

MS Run the US, Inc. is dedicated to raising awareness and funds to support multiple sclerosis (MS) research and to helping those living with disability due to MS. Our running events focus on promoting a healthy lifestyle while inspiring individuals to maximize their capabilities and become active in their communities to help those in need.

MS Run the US, Inc. Overview

MS Run the US, Inc. was founded in 2009 by Wisconsin native Ashley Kumlien of Brookfield, Wisconsin. Inspired by her mother Jill Kumlien – who has lived with MS since 1980 – Ashley created MS Run the US, Inc., a 501(c)3 charitable organization to raise national disease awareness and funds to further MS research.

Eighty percent (80%) of public donations support research and disability programs through The National MS Society. Twenty percent (20%) stays at MS Run the US, Inc. to support the operations of our events and programs.

MS Run the US, Inc. Programs

The Relay

A 3,000-mile relay run across America from Los Angeles, CA to New York, NY.  The relay invites 16-18 chosen runners to run individual segments of approximately 200-miles in 7 consecutive days.  Each runner commits to one-week on the road with the MS Run the US caravan running their individual 200-mile segment, while the entire Relay spans four months.

Running Ambassadors

The Running Ambassador Program is an opportunity for runners everywhere to achieve their goals while helping to improve the lives of individuals affected by multiple sclerosis (MS). Each of our Running Ambassadors will have the unique opportunity to be part of the MS Run the US team, raise funds for our organization and contribute to our mission.
