Courage Unlimited

Sorry, no fundraising available

Description: Sandra and Mimi formed this non-profit organization out of their strength and will to survive. The organization is not just for cancer survivors, but for anyone who has been touched by a health or community crisis. (i.e., drugs, alcohol, AIDS, HIV and STDs, etc.)

Mission: Courage Unlimited, Inc. was founded in 1998, by Sandra Jackson and Mimi Williams, both are breast cancer survivors. Their objective is to bring "A Positive Forum for Celebrating and Improving Life," to the community through Health Education and Support. Under the title of Courage Unlimited, The Talk Show (that is on hiatus now and looking for sponsors) their live interactive TV show's goal was to give the community the much needed information on health, along with a liberal dose of humor and hope. Guests had included health professionals, support groups, as well as those who had faced a health challenge and had an inspiring story to tell. This information helped so many people throughout southern Nevada, as noted by the many calls and letters of thanks that these ladies have received. Sandra had also appeared on the Leeza show a National Syndicated talk show. Both Sandra and Mimi appeared as volunteer representative of the American Cancer Society on local TV and radio programs.
