You are invited to join Team TRUTH with Project HOPEFUL as we raise funds and awareness for in support of our mission to educate, encourage, and enable families and individuals to advocate for and adopt children with HIV/AIDS and other of the most overlooked children for adoption.
Together we will train for and participate in the Chicago Half Marathon on September 7, 2014. Why run with us? We can provide you with the community you need to succeed, training tips, and most importantly you will make a huge impact for children/ families around the world!
Not a runner? That's alright! For many, this is their first running event. You CAN do it!
YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE TWO REGISTRATIONS: here and at the Chicago 1/2 marathon site.
Be part of Team Truth by following these simple steps:
1. Click on "Join Now" on the top of this page. This is where you will register as part of the Project HOPEFUL Team TRUTH! Create your personal fundraising page to share your story and engage with your friends and family!
2. YOU MUST ALSO register for the race at www.chicagohalfmarathon.com using our team code HOPEFUL2014 (which is entered at the final payment screen as a "promotion code" during registration)
3. Begin fundraising. It's easy. Just tell everyone you know that you are running to help the most forgotten orphans find forever families or in country support, and point them to this webpage so they can support your mission with their pocketbook (or their feet -- they can run with you!).
A little about the Chicago Half Marathon from their website:
"The Chicago Half Marathon gives you the chance to run on Lake Shore Drive! This scenic 13.1 mile course will start and finish in Jackson Park and showcase the south lakefront, the Jackson Park Golf Course and the Midway Plaisance on the University of Chicago campus. The Lake Shore Drive stretch offers beautiful views of the great Chicago Skyline. Participants must maintain a 13 minute per mile pace to participate in the half marathon."
