About Aids Foundation of Chicago

Description: Provide funding to and coordinate the activities of local AIDS service providing agencies and to engage in public education and policy analysis.

Mission: In 2005, the AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) marks 20 years in the fight against HIV/AIDS. We are proud of our accomplishments in funding and coordinating local HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and advocacy projects and recognize that more needs to be done. We strive for the day when our work is no longer needed, but sadly the HIV crisis is growing while stigma and complacency persist. In the period ahead we will partner with communities most affected by the epidemic to expand and improve HIV/AIDS prevention and care services, and advocate for sound HIV/AIDS policy and law.
