Description: The Mission of the National ALS Association is to find a cure for and improve living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

Mission: ALS was founded in 1978 to assist people with ALS, their families and caregivers. Today, we provide services to people with ALS (PALS), their families and caregivers through a variety of services including: respite care support;support groups; an equipment loan closet; a quarterly newsmagazine The ALS Informer; Workshops; Information & Referral services; and more. We are dedicated to assisting people with ALS to live life to its fullest and also support research into the cause and cure of this disease.
