Mission: Founded in 1980 by a small group of concerned individuals, the Brain Injury Association of America has grown into the nations only not-for-profit organization working on behalf of the 5.3 million individuals living with a disability as a result of brain injury and their families. The Association assists nearly 20,000 individuals a year on its toll-free family helpline and provides grassroots support through 41 chartered state affiliates nationwide.
