Mission: The Alzheimer's Research Foundation, Fisher Center was organized as a not-for-profit corporation on October 24, 1995. Earlier, in 1995 working in collaboration with the National Institute on Aging, the Fisher Foundation convened forty of the world's foremost Alzheimer's disease researchers for series of three multi-day workshop meetings.The first dealt with the cause; the next two with care and potential cure. From these findings, the scientists drew up a blueprint that outlined the most promising research areas.The Fisher Center was established for purposes that are exclusively charitable, scientific and educational.
