Description: Unitus is a global microfinance accelerator, providing high-impact funding and consulting to the highest potential microfinance institutions (MFIs) in developing countries.

Mission: Unitus's mission is to alleviate poverty and improve the standard of living for millions by accelerating the growth of highest- potential MFIs. Using our proprietary evaluation method of operational and financial metrics, we identify and select those MFIs that have demonstrated a clear ability to design, implement and grow a successful microfinance program. We then launch the MFI on a rapid growth trajectory by providing capital assistance and consulting advice. By providing them with both additional skills and resources, the MFIs can reach dramatically more borrowers within five to seven years. We monitor their progress against benchmarks and then help connect them to sustainable financing sources to ensure their long-term success.
