Description: The Foodbank promotes food recovery; acquires and distributes food, clothing and related products; and provides community leadership and education on issues of hunger and poverty.

Mission: The Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia was established as a non-profit clearinghouse for donated food in March 1981. Last year the organization provided almost nine million pounds of food to recipients through its 350 Partner Agencies and host sites.
