Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to first thank everyone for their support, 2007 donations and words of encouragement along the way in 2007.  In many ways, last year has changed me forever.  The road to the Ironman 2007 seemed like a far fetch goal, but I did it.  I exceed my own goals of just finishing the Ironman but also under my own personal time goal for the race.   Training for the Ironman brought so much life back to me, its hard to explain (Thanks Jim, Cheryl, and Tony).  It also gave me time to bond closer to my daughter, and remember my mom.  Before every race, I end my last workout by running up town to my moms grave.  To thank her for everything she has done for me.   I talk to her about her granddaughter ( I see so much of my mom in her, and a lot of me / my ex-wife), my dad, my sister, and life in general.  I also say a prayer to get me threw one more race to reach my goal and her goal.

As many of you know my mother pass away from cancer back in 1999.   One of her dreams was to go to Hawaii with my father.  She never made it to on that trip.  In 2007, I really wanted to qualify for the Ironman Championship in Hawaii to honor my mother.  It was going to take a lot to qualify in my first Ironman.  In 2008 and 2009, I will be taking the necessary steps to put myself in a position to qualify for the Ironman Championship in 2009.  If I qualify in 2009, then I would get to compete in the Ironman Championship in 2010.  One might ask, why try to accomplish something most can not, and most are not willing to put the effort into qualifying.  My answer.... boldness.  In 2007, I learned and felt the true meaning of boldness.  Its about putting yourself out there to succeed or fail, even when people tell you can't, or maybe in your own mind you say you can't.  Once you decide to achieve boldness, it brings a warmth to your heart like no other.

There are so many friends, family, co-workers, and others to thank for all the support.

Over the last year, I've been in the process of starting my own side company which was inspired by my 2007 Ironman adventure.
