Southeastern Diabetes Education Services (SDES) teaches children and families how to live well with diabetes. Our understanding and supportive family network assists with individual and family health. We bring together diabetes professionals including: physicians, nurses, dieticians, and diabetes educators so that children/families can receive out-of-hospital access to comprehensive diabetes management education, support, friendships, and networking with other children and families living with this difficult illness.

Camp Seale Harris is our largest program offering overnight camp weeks: Junior Week (ages 6-11), Senior Week (12-17) and Family Week (families of kids with diabetes birth -17) and Fall Family Weekend.  SDES Camp Sugar Falls is our day camp.  Sending a child with diabetes to camp is the best thing you can do for them to learn independence and confidence in managing diabetes well, and the support from friends that offers happy, healthy living.  Family Community Programs througout the year in 9 communities throughout Alabama and Northwest Florida offer ongoing learning and support.
