Who are we helping?

• Today 1 in 150 children are diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Autism affects 4 times more boys than girls.
• Almost 1 in 94 boys has autism.
• It is estimated that 1.5 million Americans have autism.
• Autism is more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDs combined!
• Autism is the fastest growing developmental disability in the US with a 10 - 17% annual growth.
• Currently, the US has $90 billion annual costs relating to autism.  That is expected to double within the next decade.
• Cost of lifelong care can be reduced by 2/3 with early diagnosis and intervention.
• Most insurance companies will not pay for therapies for children with autism.

• Families must pay for these therapies on their own.  An intensive program can cost more than $60,000 a year.
