Thank you for visiting my page. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to my fundraising efforts.
I ran Boston last year for Mass Eye and Ear and I loved it! I raised over $3750 to help them with their research and teaching of vision and hearing problems, as well as afflictions of the nose and throat. If you would like more information on where your tax-deductible donation is going, please visit www.meei.harvard.edu
More selfishly, I was able to lose 60 lbs and change my lifestyle, both with excercise and eating habits. I have run in over 26 races, including the Chicago Marathon and 5 half marathons. I promise to do a better job this year with updates for those interested. Thank you for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too! Also, if your employer has a matching gift policy, that is extremely helpful.
If you prefer to donate offline, please make checks out to: Foundation of MEEI, Inc. and send them to: Alex Pierson, 26 Baker's Hill Rd, Weston, MA 02493

Update: 3/25: OK, so I'm slacking again on the updates, but I assure you, it's quite the opposite with my training. Last year, I hit 20 miles once and had a peak weekly mileage of 44. This year, I've broken 20 five times so far, with a 22 miler to go. My high for a week has been 67, although I wasn't working, so I'm finding that tougher to do with a full-time job. Since the new year, I've lost another 20 lbs and ran 3 more 1/2 marathons, lowering my time 8 min to 1:35.41. But enough about me. Thank you all so much for your generosity- we just hit our goal today! I'm going for a run now, but I will get in at least 1 more update before 4/21, as well as after the race.
4/20: I'll be wearing a red tank top tomorrow. I should cross the starting line between 10:30 and 10:40 and I'll be going 8mph, or 7:30 miles, so hopefully that will help you spot me depending on where you are standing. If everything goes right, I might be able to break 3:20, and it looks like it should be nice weather. Thanks again and I'll provide a report after the race.
