# 3 Start Raising Funds: Set-up your Fundraising Page
Welcome to Alpha USA's fund raising pages!
Thank you for supporting Team Alpha.
To make the raising money part easy, we’ve partnered with FirstGiving. Getting started is easy! It takes 5 minutes to create your personal fundraising page. Please follow these steps to help you set-up your own fundraising page. Firstgiving advises that "the most successful fundraisers personalize their page with photos and compelling personal stories of why they’re fundraising. They send their page to everyone in their address book, not just family and friends."
- Click the orange, "Get Started" button and follow the instructions to build your own fundraising webpage
- If you are part of a church or group team, register as part of the team by clicking the blue link "Join a Team"
- If you enter a church team name for the first time, please indicate the city and state after the name
- When you create your page, edit the standard text provided and make changes, upload photos that will encourage your friends, family and co-workers to support you. Please sign your name at the end.
- You will be asked to edit a "thank you" email that will automatically be sent to people that donate to your page The email that your donors receive will also be their tax deductible receipt
- You can select the option to have an email sent to you every time someone donates to your page
- After you have set-up your page, email donors and potential donors your fundraising and training progress. Don’t forget about including your fundraising efforts on your social networks, such as Facebook and MySpace.
