Our mission: To impact the lives of youth with the skills they need to run Cross-Country and to live healthy lives with character
Objectives: The Cross-Country for Youth program objective is to introduce youth to Cross-Country training and introduce character development concepts such as Teamwork, Commitment, Sportsmanship, Respect, Responsibility, Discipline, Integrity, Leadership, Perseverance and Courage.
After-school Programs: Research suggests that being physically active may be positively correlated with academics. A recent study from California showed that students who were physically fit also scored the highest on state tests. Physical fitness and participation in physical education are also correlated with improved self-esteem and reduced anxiety.
