Community Corrections Improvement Association

Start Fundraising

Community Corrections Improvement Association (CCIA) is a private, non-profit organization headquartered in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Established in 1991, its main focus has been to support community based corrections with community involvement, acceptance, and financial resources to establish and embrace pro-active programs that break the cycle of dysfunction for the family. In June 2008, much of the central part of Cedar Rapids was hit by devastating floods. CCIA responded to the needs of those hit hardest by the disaster by starting up AmeriCorps*VISTA programs to begin volunteer mobilization. The project began with the gutting of homes so they could properly dry. The focus has since turned to rebuilding the 5,000-plus homes that were affected by the Flood of 2008, including tasks that range from sub-flooring repair to finishing cabinetry, all through the leadership of AmeriCorps*VISTAs and the assistance of outside volunteer groups from around the country.

We greatly appreciate all those who are able to donate so we may better supply the rebuilding efforts in the Cedar Rapids / Iowa City Corridor.
