St. Nicholas Project

GOAL - $250,000

Germaine is a single mother raising four children - three teenagers and her twenty-three year old who is developmentally delayed. Germaine is a home attendant, working four hours a day for minimum wage. She has been seeking a more stable, full-time job and has been unsuccessful. Her family would benefit from winter coats, pajamas, and household goods. Germaine and her children are honored to be a part of the St. Nicholas Project and appreciative of any items her family receives for Christmas.

This Christmas I urge you to consider those who need more and have less…Like Germaine and her family.

AT CHRISTMAS - Because of caring people like you, Catholic Charities provided nearly 3,000 individuals with coats, hats, sweaters, blankets, and more last year. Together we can keep hope alive this Christmas season and serve many more than we ever thought possible! Take action. Make your gift to the Catholic Charities St. Nicholas Project today and help us reach our goal of $250,000 in support of those New Yorkers in need.

YEAR ROUND INITIATIVE - Besides providing items of necessity at Christmas, our St. Nicholas Project enables those in need to access a continuum of services throughout the year. These services include: summer camps and after school programs for youth; emergency food pantries; employment readiness training, placement and support; case management to help people resolve financial, emotional and family issues; eviction prevention services; immigration and refugee related legal services; specialized assistance to the blind and visually impaired; and supported housing for the seriously and persistently mentally ill. Remember…Need Has No Season!
