20 Years of Service
Since 1989, Community Vision has been providing individualized support to adults with developmental disabilities in Oregon. We're different in that we structure our one-to-one direct support around an individual based on their specific needs and preferences exclusively. Individuality and self-direction are at the heart of our program philosophy.
The individuals we serve live below the poverty line, often making stability and freedom difficult to come by. Your contributions are used to put homeownership within reach through loan buydown, home repairs, accessiblility modifcations, and down payment assistance with our Homeownership Independence Program. To date, we've helped facilitate the purchase of over 100 homes with a zero foreclosure rate.
Pledge dollars are used to provide respite care to parents caring for their adult children living in their family home. This is often the first step in transitioning an adult child to more independent living. Our Family Services Program gives parents the opportunity to run errands, hold a job, or simply refresh themselves, knowing their adult children are receiving quality support from people who care.
Individuals with developmental disabilities are often isolated, underrepresented in the workforce and community, and wish to find meaningful connections with people outside their paid support team. Your donations will help build a bridge to the community via our Circle Project. Community volunteers and the individuals we support build mutually beneficial friendships and begin to work towards goals - be it finding a great job, tracking down an affordable home, or simply having more friends to rely on.
With 20 years of experience, we are experts at stretching a dollar and spending money wisely. In fact, 92% of your donations go directly to our programs. We thank you for your generosity and urge you to get involved with Community Vision today!
