The Office of Letters and Light hosts hands-on writing events that spark
a lifelong love of writing and language arts in kids and teens, and give
adults the inspiration and instruction they need to achieve their
creative potential. For Script Frenzy and the Script Frenzy Young
Writers Program, participants create stage plays, screenplays, and TV
shows in April. The fiction-oriented National Novel Writing Month and
companion Young Writers Program take place in November, challenging
participants to write a novel in thirty days. In 2007, over 118,000
people found their voices and told their stories as part of Office of
Letters and Light events.

| My personal message: |
Hi there! Thanks for coming to my fundraising page for the National Novel Writing Month's November Write-a-thon. On November 17th, I'll be joining more than 100 authors at the Women's Building in San Francisco. Our goal: Write as much of our novels (did I mention I'm writing a novel this November?) as possible over six hours of food, drinks, and fun. IF YOU MAKE A CONTRIBUTION AND I QUALIFY FOR THE NIGHT OF WRITING DANGEROUSLY, YOUR NAME WILL BE PINNED TO MY SHIRT FOR THE NIGHT! And hey, how can you pass that up, right? There will be pictures taken!
All the money I raise will go directly to the Office of Letters and Light, whose free programs such as the Young Writers Program and National Novel Writing Month inspire tens of thousands of kids, teens, and adults to write books every year.
Thank you so much for your support of my writing and for your contribution to the Office of Letters and Light's literary mission! If you can think of anyone else who might be interested in sponsoring me, please forward this page along to them! (PS: the Office of Letters and Light is a 501(c)(3) corporation, and donations are tax deductible!)
Please help support this great cause and help me qualify to attend "The Night of Writing Dangerously" on Nov. 17th! Thanks. :-)
