The mission of the Fragile X Resource Center of Missouri is to enrich the lives of people and families affected with Fragile X through educational and emotional support, promoting public and professional awareness, and by supporting research toward improved treatments and ultimately, cures for Fragile X.

• Fragile X Syndrome (FXS), causes disabilities ranging from varying degrees of learning problems to varying degrees of cognitive impairment.

• Fragile X-Associated Tremor Ataxia Syndrome (FXTAS), a neurological disorder affecting older adults which involves tremors, difficulty with walking and balance and can affect memory.

• Fragile X-associated Primary Ovarian Insufficiency (FXPOI), which includes early menopause before the age of 40 and ovarian dysfunction.
