First Step, Inc., founded in 1959, by a group of parents who sought community-based services for their developmentally disabled children. The Mission of First Step, Inc. is to promote integration and independence of all people with disabilities. First Step, Inc. provides services that are designed to enhance the independence, self-sufficiency, and productivity of the persons served.
