Walk for Chance / Race to Rescue
Dog Walk, Fair and 5k Race
Sunday, June 6, 2010

The First Town 4-H Clubs of Windsor are proud to partner with  Sunshine Golden Retriever Rescue and the Windsor Dog Park to host the 2010 Walk for Chance Dog Walk, 5k Race and Fair.  The three organizations will work together to hold the largest and best dog Walk and Fair to date and to raise money for their organizations.   We look forward to your participation and attendance.

This is the fifth year that the First Town 4-H Clubs has hosted the Walk for Chance Dog Walk and Fair. As a veterinary science and service club, our mission is to raise funds to train service dogs and to support other important animal related causes.  Consistent with our mission, we have designated the following non profits to be granted a share of the proceeds from this years event.
  • The First Town 4-H Service Dog Project funds the training of service dogs to be placed with local disabled persons in need of assistance.
  • Sunshine Golden Retrieve rescue, a 501c3, rescues hundreds of displaced golden retrievers in need of homes and medical attention annually.
  • The Windsor Dog Park committee recently completed the first phase of the construction of a dog park at Northwest Park and is raising funds for maintenance and improvements.
