This Thanksgiving, over 5 million people will be unable to join their family's Thanksgiving Feast due to digestive tract paralysis.  Individuals with the diseases Gastroparesis, Chronic Intestinal Pseudo-Obstruction, & Colonic Inertia will instead be partaking in meals such as:  liquids received through a permanent feeding tube, liquids received through an IV, food pureed into liquid form, or a small serving of regular food that is no larger than the size of a fist. 

Currently, there is not a cure and there are extremely limited treatment options.
