Thank you for visiting the George Bartol Memorial Scholarship Fundraising Page!
Thanks to the wonderful people at firstgiving we are able to collect donations through this site, where the process is simple, fast, and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts. If you feel more comfortable making a donation off line you can go to any Washington Mutual Bank and make a donation directly to the George Bartol Memorial Scholarship or you can mail your contribution to Kari Bartol at 4614 Edgewater DrOrlando, FL 32804. If you mail a check please make it out to the George Bartol Memorial Scholarship Fund. All donations are tax deductible and will receive a tax exemption letter. As many of you know, primary brain tumors are on the rise, leaving many young people without a parent. Although Dad’s life was cut tragically short we were very fortunate to have him as long as we did. He empowered us to pursue higher education, instilled strong family values, and taught us to cherish each moment. However, there are many young people that may not be able to go to college due to their parent's lost income or the financial strain that medical bills can have on a family. Please help us raise money to provide college assistance to those that have a parent with primary brain cancer or have lost a parent to this condition. Last year we were able to award two college scholarships and through additional fundraising efforts hope to award more scholarships in 2007. On average we receive five inquiries a week from children who have been impacted by brain cancer, so there is a LOT to be done to support this effort. Thank you SO MUCH for helping us reach our fundraising goal. Please forward this to your friends, coworkers, and family so that they can help send children in need to college. . Every donation puts us one step closer to changing a life! Thanks for your love and support. Love Always, The Bartol Family
