Team Hope Walk- Boston, MA
Walk To Cure Huntington’s Disease
Every Step Takes Us Closer To Our Goal
You can help the Huntington’s Disease Society of America fund a cure for HD and provide hope to the 30,000 Americans with HD and the 250,000 who are at risk.
Join us for the Team Hope Boston 3-mile loop walk which starts/ends at historic Fort Independence on Castle Island in South Boston (it’s no longer an island, and parking is free). Registration starts at 9 a.m., and the Walk starts at 10 a.m.
And the fun doesn’t end there! Please plan to stay after the walk for food, music, information, and fun on the spacious parade grounds inside the Fort until 2 p.m. Those able to climb the ramp/stairs to the Fort’s ramparts will be rewarded by magnificent views of downtown Boston and the Boston Harbor Islands!
Please note: Due to safety concerns, wheelchairs are not allowed on the Fort’s ramparts, but they are most welcome along the event route and on the Fort’s parade grounds. We plan to have a free shuttle from the parking area at Castle Island to assist those needing a ride up the short hill to the Fort. We also plan to have “Hunks for HD” available to help push wheelchairs up to the Fort entrance as needed.
This will be an amazing event for history buffs, lovers of beautiful places, and friends of the HD community, so it will be a day sure to please everyone! Start planning now and form a team for even more fun if you can!
We are also soliciting donations of food, water, and financial sponsors for this event, so please contact Terry Joyce if you can help. In the meantime, have a wonderful summer!
