Welcome To The Humane Society Calumet Area Fundraising Page
The Humane Society Calumet Area has been providing vital services to our community since 1941. In the past year they have helped more than 1800 abandoned animals find homes and reunited many lost animals with their families.
Humane Society Calumet Area (HSCA) mission is to lead the community in the humane treatment of animals. Working individually and in partnership with similar valued organizations, we will create a humane community for all animals through education, advocacy, and the promotion of respect and compassion.
The HSCA are also very active within the community by providing the following services:
• Estelle Marcus Animal Clinic: Since opening to low-income members of the public in July 2012, they have provided over 1,000 spays and neuters to those with financial hardship.
• Pet Therapy Teams: The HSCA pet therapy team visits nursing homes and assisted living four times a month with puppies.
• Humane Education: Our Humane Education team helps teach local children about pet safety and compassion.
The HSCA also receives support from various community outreach events, such as off-site adoption events, festivals, and runs. As for one upcoming event in particular supporting the shelter is The Original Santa Walk & Run. This is a non-timed event for both athletes and non-athletes and will be taking place on December 13th at 7pm in Highland and December 21st at 9am in Crown Point. Humane Society Calumet Area is one of the local charities that will benefit from these runs. For more info on The Original Santa Walk & Runs in Highland or Crown Point, click on the following links:

The funds raised from The Original Santa Walk & Run will support the Humane Society Calumet Area’s Traveler’s Fund. Traveler’s Fund was created to ensure that no medically treatable animal needs to suffer without treatment. Animals treated through Traveler’s Fund have had illnesses and/or physical or medical conditions that have required limb amputation or specialized surgery.
