Welcome To The Humane Society Calumet Area Fundraising Page
Humane Society Calumet Area has been providing vital services to our community since 1941. In the past year we have helped more than 1,800 abandoned animals find homes and reunited many lost animals with their families.
Humane Society Calumet Area (HSCA) mission is to lead the community in the humane treatment of animals. Working individually and in partnership with similar valued organizations, we will create a humane community for all animals through education, advocacy, and the promotion of respect and compassion.
HSCA also is very active within the community by providing the following services:
• Estelle Marcus Animal Clinic: Since opening to low-income members of the public in July 2012, they have provided more than 3,100 spay and neuter surgeries to those with financial hardship.
• Pet Therapy Teams: The HSCA pet therapy team visits nursing homes and assisted living four times a month with puppies.
• Humane Education: Our Humane Education team helps teach local children about pet safety and compassion.
Paws in the Park: Join us for our 22nd Annual Paws in the Park on June 7, 2014 at Main Square Park in Highland, IN. A walk-a-thon and vendor fair combined, this event brings together the community for a day filled with family- and pet-friendly activities. If you would like to participate in the walk-a-thon and collect pledges to support the animals of HSCA, please visit our fundraising page at www.firstgiving.com/9923/pawsinthepark2014.
