Together, We Can Do It!
HAWTHORNE FOUNDATION'S MISSION:
…to provide a program and education for individuals with developmental disabilities and autism from early intervention throughout adult life.
We aim to ensure that our children are happy, healthy and well educated by the time they reach adulthood, and that our adults become all that they can be.
§ Providing a learning environment that effectively teaches and supports children and adults with disabilities and their families.
§ Promoting educational practices that are grounded in science and applied behavior analysis in particular.
§ Offering parents a reliable way of evaluating the services their loved ones receive.
§Maximizing self-determination and dignity for all of the individuals in our care.
The Hawthorne Foundation came into existence because of a lack for proper care for these special children within the existing educational system.
More than twenty years later, we have learned that all children have special needs, and that all of them can make contributions to society, through education, arts, sports. love and community.
