The Isabella Santos Foundation has been created to help raise funds and awareness for children's cancers, as well as charities that support kids with cancer.  Portions of the proceeds from the Foundation have gone to such charities as The Neuroblastoma Research fund at Sloan-Kettering, the Make-a-Wish Foundation, the Ronald McDonald house as well as directly to children with cancer in our area.

Isabella Santos is a local 5 year old who lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. In October of 2007, Isabella was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. Neuroblastoma is a rare pediatric cancer that affects approximately 500 children a year. Due to the small number of children who are diagnosed with this cancer, there are few treatment options available and a very low survivor rate (40%). Isabella has been receiving treatment at Levine’s Children’s Hospital as well as Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan. Sloan-Kettering specializes in Neuroblastoma and has been producing new treatment options through their research over the last 20 years. However, the lack of funding has made it difficult to develop life-saving treatments.  She is currently in treatment for her 2nd relapse and will be receiving a trial vaccine in August to hopefully cure her forever.
