The Event:

Think of the “Happy Birthday” Bowl-4-Education as a company (or family) team building event that doubles as a fundraiser for Junior Achievement! This year’s goal is to raise over $25,000 to help JA provide valuable economic education programs to 9,000 Mahoning Valley students this year!

Volunteer to be part of a 5 person bowling team. Choose a date and location that works for you:

Saturday, January 28, 2012  Crest Lanes 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Saturday, February 11, 2012 Wedgewood Lanes  2:30 - 5:30 p.m.

Saturday, March 3, 2012 - GM  Wedgewood Lanes 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Tuesday, May 15, 2012 Camelot Lanes 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Registration fee is $8 per person and each bowler is expected to secure at least $40 in pledges from friends, family, neighbors, colleagues and acquaintances. Our online fundraising tool makes it easy to ask those near and far plus, you can even share it on your facebook page. Then put on your Birthday attire and you’re ready to bowl! Each bowler is entitled to 3 games of bowling, shoe rental, team photo, (an event t-shirt for $50 in pledges secured) and many more great prizes!

Don’t forget to incorporate the “Happy Birthday” theme into your company fundraising efforts (Jeans 4 JA days, bake sales, etc.)! Add company competitions for fundraising between floors, departments,  

How It Works:

Coordinators: Work with Junior Achievement to promote the Birthday Bowl within their companies, reserve lanes for their company teams, recruit and motivate team captains.

Team Captains: Establish a team(s) of 5 by recruiting and Motivating additional bowlers of friends, family, vendors, coworkers, etc.-anyone who wants to bowl!

Bowlers: Secure pledges from friends, family, vendors, coworkers, etc. or branches.
