Hi Everyone,

    My name is Jimmy.  While I do not have a food allergy, I know several people who do, including my beautiful girlfriend Caitlin and my little cousin Michael.  I always try to be very careful about what I eat and about what my family eats so that Caitlin doesn't have to worry about eating with us or hanging out with me at any time.  However; after reading about so many cases where people nearly lost or in fact did lose someone close to them because of unawareness of the facts about allergies and anaphylaxis, I felt there was more to be done.  I felt especially compelled as a boyfriend to do something, after learning about a few instances where people with food allergies were harmed, sometimes lethally, after something so seemingly harmless as a kiss, because their boyfriend or girlfriend was ill-prepared or simply ignorant of the facts.

   While living with even one food allergy is a lifelong struggle, there are some, like my cousin Michael, who have more than one allergy....sometimes two, or three, or in my little cousin's case, 75.  It is my understanding that the only thing he can eat is salmon.

  So, I found a way to make this webpage through FAAN and decided to go for it.  This website is absolutely safe to donate through and I, as well as all those living with food allergies, would greatly appreciate any support you can give.  Thank you so much and God Bless.
