When most people see a child with a disability like Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida, Autism, or cerebral palsy, they tend to focus on the things that child may struggle to do - the obstacles - the DISability.  

 

But at the Kids Center we know these children have potential just like any other child.   Our job is to work with the child and the family to see the ABILITY in disability.  We offer outpatient physical, speech, and occupational therpay as well as family support to over 700 children per year.  Each year we fall $700,000 short because none are turned away.  That's about $1,000 for every child we see.

 

We've been helping children with all kinds of disabilities since 1959.  Today we are the Kids Center for Pediatric Therpaies - formerly known as the Cerebral Palsy K.I.D.S. Center.   We see children with autism, Down Syndrome, Spina bifda, cerebral palsy, ADD, ADHD, sensor issues, and many other types of delays.  And thanks to donors like you we are able to stay true to the vow of our founders to NEVER turn away a child who needs our care just because their family cannot pay the full costs of our care.

Every $20 we raise provides one hour of "Kids Care" - that's therapy we give without any money to pay for it.  

 

* It might be the hour that a child learns to take their first step. 

* It might be the hour a child tells their mother "I love you" using a computer as their voice. 

* Or it might be the hour a child learns to dress themself or feed themself.
