On April 21, 2008 I will be running in the Boston Marathon. Though an incredible feat in its own right, a one day event, for no more than five hours at most, is not enough!
To this response, I have set out to raise money for the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. With Team Eye and Ear we will run and raise money in the name of the millions who are living with diseases of the eye, ear, nose, throat, head and neck.As the primary teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School, Mass Eye and Ear, provides an unparalleled setting for providing patient care and conducting scientific investigations in ways that bring laboratory advances to the patient as quickly as possible. Their commitment to research has led to numerous discoveries and new treatments, and remains a source of hope to many thousands of people facing a loss of vision, hearing, voice or balance. Though much progress has been made, the Infirmary continues the fight to diagnose, treat, prevent, and one day, cure, these devastating disorders. And, so i'm asking for your support! We will accelerate the pace of discovery and bring relief sooner to these people throughout the world who must live EACH and EVERY DAY with these conditions. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
