Alliance for Families and Children

The Lynchburg Ironman Team is made up of 32 men and women ranging in ages from 24 to 70.  This amazing group of athletes is committed to training and completing the Lake Placid Triathlon or the Louisville Triathlon this summer.  These individuals are not only working to meet training goals, but are also committed to raising awareness and funds for a local non profit, The Alliance for Families and Children.

Since 1909, the Alliance for Families and Children has provided much needed services to the Central Virginia community.  This organization offers 11 comprehensive and diverse programs designed to "Strengthen Families for Success".  Last year, the Alliance served over 18,500 individuals in our local area.  With the help from the Alliance programs and dedicated staff, families are able to overcome challenges, make responsible choices, learn parenting skills and improve their quality of life.

Members of the Lynchburg Ironman Team want to make a positive difference in their community.  These athletes will compete in a 140 mile test of endurance.  They will bike, swim and run for a make the Central Virginia community a stronger one.

Thank you for supporting the Lynchburg Ironman Triathlon Team and for helping to make the Central Virginia community a stronger one!
