Benefiting MONADNOCK CENTER FOR VIOLENCE PREVENTION

Please join MCVP in partnership with Keene State College for the

10th Annual Walk-a-Mile in Her Shoes:

The International Men's March to End Rape, Sexual Assault and Gender Violence

Walk a Mile - or WAM - is a one mile walk for men, women and children to show their support for survivors of sexual violence throughout the Monadnock Region.  The walk is led by men, some of whom will be wearing women's shoes*!  All are welcome!

Check-in opens at 9am in the Young Student Center and the walk steps-off at 10am!  Please join MCVP, the Keene State Community and the Greater Monadnock Community and help us raise awareness during April's Sexual Assault Awareness Month.  Before the age of 18, 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will experience sexual abuse/assault.  And 1 in 4 college women will experience an attempted or completed sexual assault before leaving college.

You can register to walk as an individual or register as part of a team!  Get your friends, family and coworkers involved.  Super prizes will be given out to the top individual fundraiser and top fundraising team!

This year’s fundraising goal is $45,000.

Time to start shoe-shopping for that “Best of Shoe” contest winner! Grand prize (worth $100)  “Best of Shoe” plus 2 runner-up prizes.

*Unless you are transgendered, inter-sexed or cross-dressing is part of your everyday life, we ask that you limit your change in attire to women’s shoes.  We do not want to create an atmosphere that objectifies women.
