Medical Ministries International is a Central California non-profit organization that obtains donated, surplus medical equipment, supplies, and medicines and ships them to less advantaged clinics and hospitals all over the world. This medical surplus that would otherwise end up in American landfills is transported by MMI in order to bring hope and health to people in need. In addition, MMI volunteer travel teams hold primary care clinics in various regions where medical care is unavailable. MMI has provided assistance to India, Haiti, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Mexico, Armenia, Columbia, Laos, Fiji, South Africa, Indonesia, Honduras, Ethiopia, and the Philippines.
The M*A*S*H Runners (Medical Aid Supplying Hope) exist to support the work of Medical Ministries International. Participants on M*A*S*H Runners Teams raise funds for MMI while training for and completing various marathon and half marathon events. M*A*S*H first trained a team for the 2008 Eye-Q Two Cities Marathon and Half Marathon (in Fresno and Clovis, CA). In 2009, Medical Ministries International was named an official charity for, and M*A*S*H Runners sent teams to, both the St. George Marathon and the Eye-Q Two Cities Marathon and Half Marathon. Most recently, M*A*S*H Runners Teams participated in the 2010 Napa Valley Marathon and the Shinzen 10 Miler. All told, over 130 runners and walkers on M*A*S*H Teams have successfully crossed the finish line.
The M*A*S*H Runners are now preparing for the 2010 Eye-Q Two Cities Marathon and Half Marathon. MMI also is a charity partner of the 2010 Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C. To sponsor a runner's efforts by making a tax-deductible donation to Medical Ministries International, please enter his or her name in the box at the upper right of this page.
Together, we can advance MMI’s mission and help ensure that many more in our global family will receive the care that they so desperately need.
Thank you for your support!
