ABOUT CYSTIC FIBROSIS
Cystic fibrosis is an inherited, chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 individuals in the United States, and 70,000 people worldwide.

In the 1950s, few children with cystic fibrosis lived to attend elementary school. Today, advances in research and medical care have enhanced and extended the lives of children and adults with CF. Many people with the disease can expect now to live into their 30s, 40s and beyond.

ABOUT MILES FOR CYSTIC FIBROSIS
Created by two Atlanta pediatric pulmonologists in the fall of 2006, Miles for Cystic Fibrosis's mission is to raise awareness and funds to support the cystic fibrosis community.  Our inaugural run in the ING Georgia Marathon 2007 included over 100 runners and walkers and raised about $15,000.  Since then our team -- 65ROSES --  has fielded over 400 participants in two cities and raised over $100,000.  Won't you join our efforts?
