NBIA Golf Marathon 2013

Lake Arthur Country Club, Butler PA

Friday, September 27

All proceeds to benefit the NBIA Disorders Association and its Research Grants Program.

Play 100 holes of golf in 1 day!  The NBIA Golf Marathon is a day of fun at the Lake Arthur Country Club in Butler, PA. This year, golfers and caddies will raise pledge money to support research and support services that assist children and adults who suffer from NBIA.

Each golfer sponsors themselves for a minimum of a $125 donation and has a goal of $1,000 in pledges. New this year is the opportunity to register as a caddy. A caddy and a virtual golfer. A caddy must sponsor themselves for a minimum of $75 with a goal of $500 in pledges. A virtual golfer sponsors themselves for $100 donation and has a goal of $1000. Of course you can still play if you do not raise your goal, but we do ask you to try to get as many pledges as possible. Last year we averaged more than $1,000 per golfer. Also new this year is the ability to create your own personal fundraising page, enabling you to set your fundraising goal, post messages, and collect donations online via credit card.

Event Details

Registration begins at 8:00am with a continental breakfast. Lunch, dinner and on-course drinks are included. 8:30am shotgun start and off you go!

Golfing 100 holes at Lake Arthur Golf Course will take ~8 hrs. You do NOT have to play 100 holes. Each golfer will have their own cart so they can go as quickly as possible. After lunch we will have a keg of beer so if you get tired of golfing you can enjoy the fall afternoon and watch us diehards go buzzing around the course. If you plan on playing only a round or two, please focus on flat pledges or donations instead of per hole pledges.

Play for a purpose while enjoying good food, lots of fun, cold beer, and beautiful Indian Summer weather. Oh, and did I mention we have prizes??

Skills Competition:  Longest Drive, Longest Put, Closest to the Pin, and four significant Hole-in-One prizes.

Every golfer gets to pick a prize based on the following priority:
1) Most money raised
2) Best 18 holes score
3) Most holes played
4) 2nd most money raised
5) Longest Drive
6) Closest to the pin 1
7) Longest Put
8) Closest to the pin 2
9) Money raised

P.S.

No nickel and diming. Your donation is 100% tax deductible and is your only out of pocket expense. There are no 50/50 raffles, Chinese or silent auctions, or any other attempts to raise more money beyond what you have secured in pledges.
