Become Part of The NH Carbon Challenge Story
Just two years ago, The New Hampshire Carbon Challenge (NHCC) was started by people like you who wanted to make a difference and believed they could. The mission was and continues to be helping individuals understand the key link between reducing their impacts on climate change and reducing their energy costs. To date, the NH Carbon Challenge has saved challenge takers over $700,000 in household energy costs and over 5 million pounds of climate-warming greenhouse gases through their pledged reductions in energy consumption!
That's an average of $832 per person and 17% reduction in energy consumption.
Imagine if we all achieved this. We can.
- donating a portion of your energy savings to the NHCC
- sharing the Challenge by creating your own NHCC fundraising page in minutes and inviting your friends, family and colleagues to join you and us in the winning movement!
Why we need your help: The New Hampshire Carbon Challenge is an externally funded initiative of the University of New Hampshire. Although we’ve received in-kind support from the Institute for the Study of Earth, Oceans, and Space at UNH, we must raise our programming costs through foundations, corporate contributions, consulting services, and individuals like you.
*** PLEASE NOTE: The fundraising total on the right hand column only reflects those individuals who have set up their own donor pages. It is not the total of our fundraising campaign to date. Thank-you everyone who has made a contribution... we greatly appreciate your support!
