The mission of the Foundation is to improve lives for those affected by kidney disease & related conditions; to increase organ donation; & to empower those we serve to be effective voices for better healthcare at the local, state and federal levels. 26 million people in the U.S. have kidney disease - most don't know it. There are also more than 115,000 people waiting for a life saving transplant; 95,000+ are waiting for a kidney.
Funds raised by and for the Northeast Kidney Foundation stay in the local community. This means that your investment is going where you want it – to benefit those in your neighborhood living with kidney disease or waiting for a life saving transplant. Your support provides free kidney screenings for those most at risk; direct patient assistance for medical, housing & nutrition needs; school based programs to teach our kids about lifelong kidney health; local research; community outreach & education, healthcare advocacy & so much more!
